Where it all started
The Mayer Flower Barn was established in 2021 while the building itself was built back in 1946. After starting to make bouquets on our main farm, Lynn Mayer's Great Lakes Glads, we decided to expand to offer people the opportunity to create their own bouquets and give them a taste of our everyday lives. We hope to inspire creativity by drawing in those who share our passion, or even those wanting to learn more. Our goal is to build a fun and safe environment for all, and ultimately bring joy into peoples homes through the image of flowers.
Lynn Mayer's Great Lakes Glads was established in 1971 by Lynn and Jo Mayer and
has since been passed down to their four children: Lorinda, Bob, Karissa and Aaron. We are a
5th generation gladiola farm who has since expanded to sell peonies, sunflowers,
hydroponic lettuce, corn, and soybeans. We hope The Flower Barn is a
place that will allow others to experience a taste of life on the farm.
